Under pressure, practice lobbing into the back of the court.

In a game of tennis, there are a number of ways to win a point. One of the hardest ways to win a point is when under pressure from your opponent.i.e. they have just rushed the net.

If you have a hitting partner, get out there and try this. It really is quite basic.

Both start at the base line.
One of you feed the ball deep so that it lands deep past the service line.
Your partner hits the ball back deep.
Now the feeder must hit a short ball, ( the ball bounces inside the service line)
The partner hits the ball and runs to net.
The feeder now hits a deep lob.
And go from there….
Lets see what you come up with. There are a number of ways this can be utilised, eg, you do not have a hitting patner, so you get a coach, and explain to him you want to practise lobbing, so suggest this game to him or her. Initialise it in a friendly doubles game,eg, the mid week ladies, although much better to do this in practise. Really a coach is there as a guide to the rest of your playing. And are not always needed, I will continue to better some lesson plans for you. And it may save you some valuable time and money.
